The first project completed for Mahaska Health Partnership was an addition to the emergency room. It was a one-floor slab on grade. At the same time, we also constructed a new three-floor medical office. The exterior walls for both projects are CMU and brick veneer. The structures are made of block bearing walls, structural steel and bar joists. The foundations are 20 feet deep caissons. Both additions were connected to the existing hospital, which made the project very challenging.
The third project was an addition to the surgery suites, birthing suites and patient rooms. We were responsible for the foundations and slab package. We were also awarded the specialties package. We installed the handrails, toilet partitions and accessories, wall protection, lockers, window treatments, and owner-provided equipment such as hand sanitizers, chart holders, glove dispensers, sharps containers, monitors, brackets, etc.
